Why Clean, Quality Bamboo Matters for Your Schach
Not all bamboo is created equal. Schach that's cracked, moldy, or full of debris doesn't just look bad — it can affect the kashrus of your Sukkah and won't hold up to wind and rain during the holiday. Quality bamboo should be straight, dry, and free of mold or heavy splitting, with consistent thickness along its length so it lays evenly across your roof.

Choosing the Right Pole Thickness: 1", 2" or 3"
Thickness affects both coverage and sturdiness. Our 1" standard poles (bundles of 25) are the most popular choice — lightweight, easy to lay, and ideal for most residential Sukkahs. If you want a bit more heft and wind resistance, our 2" thick poles (bundles of 10) strike a nice balance for larger roofs or breezier locations.
For bigger Sukkahs, commercial setups, or anyone who wants maximum durability, our 3" premium poles (bundles of 5) are the sturdiest option we offer. They're heavier to work with, but they hold their shape beautifully and stand up well over the full week of Sukkot.

How to Measure Your Sukkah for a Perfect Fit
Getting an accurate measurement makes ordering — and building — much smoother. Measure the full width and length of your Sukkah's roof opening, and note which direction you plan to lay the poles across (the shorter span usually works best). Round up slightly rather than down; a little overhang is normal and expected.
If your span is longer than 12ft, don't worry — poles can be joined end-to-end to cover it, and we'll walk you through exactly how many of each length you'll need. And if your Sukkah calls for something in between standard sizes, we offer custom cuts too.
